National Portfolio Review Day is held every year at many participating universities, including George Mason University. I was chosen by the George Mason design department and was tasked with developing a visual identity, poster, and campaign for the event in 2020. The result is a Bauhaus inspired typographical composition that the design department at George Mason  were happy with and approved it to be sent out to high schools and other participants. Displayed below are the front and back of the poster.
I chose the word “INSPIRE” and distilled a mission statement for the project: "It's a command, a call to action. To not only inspire others to bring their work, but to be inspired through feedback and being among peers. More importantly, it's a powerful feeling. ‘INSPIRE’ is a state of being and a mindset, to be moved by and striven for.” This statement was the driving force behind the design and layout. Early iterations of the poster used classic Bauhaus colors including red, black and yellow, but was changed in favor of a more striking color combination, the CMYK color palette seen in the final campaign. The required logos were added and adjusted to allow the layout to flow seamlessly.

Below are the collateral materials I designed, which comprise the rest of the National Portfolio Day campaign, including an envelope, postcard (front and back), application form, square sticker, and t-shirt graphic (designed to be printed on t-shirts worn by participating staff):
